I entered the Otaku House Cosplay Idol! Please vote for me here. Thanks!
There wasn't really a decent place to take photos that matched Link, so we didn't really get any photos, but luckily Steph snapped this lovely shot and let me us it
I managed to get my shield to a presentable standard in time for DokiDoki, and I'm pretty pleased with how it looks, despite this only being a temporary cover.
Both props are made from wood, and with help from my dad. In this photo the shield is unpainted (they grey colour is the primer and not the actual paint I will be using)
I really wanted to be able to take my shield with me this time, but I only managed to get the priming done in time for the weekend, so I made a temporary cover out of craft foam for the day. This is NOT the finished shield, and this is the only time it will ever look like this.
I'm still using some parts I'd rather replace and missing my chainmail unfortunatley as I opted out of using my fabric one due to comfort reasons, but overall I'm pleased with how the costume is coming along. Even if I have a long way to go to get it to the standard I'd like!
I'm now finally getting round to painting my shield so hopefully it should be complete soon!Pictured Cosplay:Series:
