I'm Alex/Lex/Lexie a 20 y/o cosplayer from England.
Find me on Tumblr:
Hi everyone. It's been so long since I've posted anything here and for that I apologise! I've not really been all that interested in DeviantART lately and I haven't really had anything to post here either. Thanks for sticking around despite my absence though! <3

Right now, I have no costumes in the works, so it may be a while before I post anything here again.
If you want to keep up with me and catch unseen cosplay photos I highly recommend following my Tumblr!
I'm a lot more active over there and I'm planning to slowly upload more photos of my costumes that I never got around to submitting anywhere.

Recently, I've begun making dance covers, it's a new interest of mine and it's lots of fun! You can catch my videos over on YouTube or again, on Tumblr.

Thanks for reading! <3

Holy hell your cosplays are beautiful!
I'm thinking about cosplaying Link myself in March. Mind if I ask for some tips? C:

Thank you so much! I'd be glad to offer some tips~
Are you planning to make it yourself or are you buying?
Is there anything specific you'd like to know about?

No need to thank me!
Um, I'm not sure yet. Most of the cosplays I've seen for sale look... Well. Cheap. Same goes for Master Swords, besides steel ones, which aren't allowed at cons here... xD

I'm mostly interested in tips on the sword and shield tbh:3
I appreciate the help, btw! ^^

Yeah, they can be a bit nasty or over priced!
If you do decide to buy do be careful of where you get it from.
I'd recommend commissioners over big cosplay companies if you can find one you trust as they're generally a lot better than company made ones and they help support a freelance seamstress. They might be a tad more expensive but they're tailored to you. Link costumes are some of the easier ones to sew though so if you wanted to give it a go yourself I'm sure you wouldn't have too much trouble! It was the one I started out with, after all and I knew nothing about sewing at the time~

For the shield, I wrote a tutorial here, so hopefully this will be of some help to you:…

As for the sword, I never got any progress picks of the one I have and I only made a very simple sword. There are a lot of Master Sword ones out there now though :3
